Aireborough Sub-aqua Club (ASC) is a BSAC registered club, founded in 2000. The club is based in Guiseley, North Leeds. We currently have about 50 members, from novice divers to dive leaders and qualified instructors. The British Sub Aqua Club is the largest amateur organisation in the UK.

We meet every Wednesday at Aireborough Leisure Centre at 19:30 for lectures, followed by an hour session in the 25 meter long, 3.4 meter deep pool. Extensive training is undertaken, lectures, practical pool and open water sessions, for novice, sports diver or dive leader levels. We also operate a try-dive facility for newcomers every week for a bargain rate of £7, including all gear and tuition, plus a try dive certificate.

Membership costs are £87 per annum, £47 for BSAC membership and £40 club costs. This includes training by your instructor for all diver grades. Addition discounts are available for couples and family memberships.

We have an active social calendar, meeting up in the bar at the leisure centre every Wednesday at 10pm plus many events including: summer BBQs, drinks nights, curry evenings, firework shows plus whatever the theme for the year is.

Our dive program for next year 2008 is aimed at all levels of diver, bringing novice divers up to Ocean diver after sessions at Capenwray quarry and shallow sea dives dives at the Farnes, St Abbs or Eyemouth. More advanced diving will be planned for Ocean, Sports and Dive Leaders in Scotland, Isle of Mann and RIB diving out of Newcastle. Overseas trips to Egypt, the Carribean and Indian Ocean are often planned by small groups from the club.
